Elizabeth Gilbert at TED

I first saw Elizabeth Gilbert in Oprah's show when she was invited to talk about her book "eat pray love". I had an idea about the book, that it represents her journey to peace and salvation.

When I read the book, it gave me a lot of input. First, I so wanted to go to Italy just to eat pasta and pizza as it happens to be my favorite dishes. Second, I wanted to go to Bali to visit the island and enjoy the sun and the beach.

I know. Very shollow for a life changing input you might think. But the thing is, I found myself going through most of the feelings and troubles, or just similar to them, that she had been through and mainly she overcame them while descovering her true self.

I tried to look at things differently, to change my perspective on life and the problems that a person can stumble upon while going for their goals. It's very important also to have people around you that love you and treasure you no matter what you do and no matter where you are or what you become.

In this video, Elizabeth Gilbert is a guest at TED and she's talking about how we could look at creativity differently. How we should put the stress aside and just do our job as humans and let the other undefined devine power do the rest.

Showing up for the job, that's a very important point. Which means committement, devotion and insistent. Do we all have that? Do we all can do it that sharply? Even if we want to it's not easy but it just needs patience. That's what I personally need. I just need to show up for my part of the job and write. Even with no inspiration -or whatever we can call it- I need to write anyway.

Welcome to my Dark Sanctuary

A new place, a new home where I can express myself through words and lines. I'll be working on many challenges to make me commit and make me practice my ability to write. I write for me mainly but also for my faithful readers. Don't hesitate to comment, every word you say can make a difference, can make a piece improve and make me more motivated.

Welcome!
